Emerging athlete preparing for major competition

Kai Trump will have multiple well-known cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.

This teenage golfer, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and frequently plays against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just stay calm."

"He practically advised me to go out there and relax," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in a mere three competitions this year and has ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

Yet she can get advice from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He told me to play, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to new audiences, especially reaching youth audiences.

Kai boasts substantial online presence and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
