Eulogies Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct essay, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate placed a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities shared divergent reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing controversial statements that were met with immediate backlash by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the critics last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "disappointing" and remarked they revealed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an associate could have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
