Aryna Sabalenka ended the season with an impressive 23-3 Grand Slam match record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive year.

The twenty-seven-year-old secured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Season of Consistency

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the whole season as the top-ranked player, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she became the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Statistics

Sabalenka ended the season with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and earned a record eleven million pounds in earnings.

She garnered nearly 80% of the votes cast by international tennis media.

Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a new level".
